What Is SPLOST VI?
SPLOST VI is the proposed continuation of Union County's Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. If approved by voters, a one percent (1%) sales and use tax would continue to be collected in the special district of Union County for a period not to exceed six (6) years, raising an estimated $43,000,000 for capital improvement projects.
The estimated revenue would be allocated between Union County and the City of Blairsville for voter-approved capital outlay projects.
